Quilt Raffle 

A beautiful green, maroon and cream quilt made by Marsha Layman will be raffled off, with the drawing on Sunday, Dec. 8, at the end of Christmas at the Poorhouse. Tickets will be $5 and will be available for purchase from Board members and at Society events, where it will be on display at either the General Store or the Fairgrounds Museum. The quilt measures 71” by 71” and is made with rich, historical colors from the Civil War era. 

Motor Car Exposition

The third annual car show will be on Saturday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. An entry fee of $10 will admit any make and model of car. A trophy will be given and the first 100 cars will received a dash plaque. There will be no admission fee for spectators. The Poorhouse and Barn Museum will be open and baked goods will be sold in the General Store.

Please come to the Poorhouse on Monday, April 22, at 7 p.m., to share a favorite historic treasure. This is a fun, relaxed evening where we can see neat stuff and hear the stories behind them. Finger food will be served.

Membership Pot Luck

Join us at the Poorhouse on Monday, June 24, at 6 p.m., for the annual Pot Luck and election of Board members. Bring you own table service, drink and a dish to pass.

Field Trip to Broad Street Manor

Linda Aardema and Brian McGregor have invited the membership to a party and viewing of their beautiful gardens and home on Saturday, July 20, at 5 p.m. RSVP to Linda will be requested because of the party part of the Field Trip.
